Conservatory (music school) of Saratov

The Conservatory was founded in 1912 as the third conservatory founded in Russia after St. Petersburg and Moscow. It was also the first provincial conservatory. In 1985, a German company “W.Sauer” installed an organ in the Great Hall of the Conservatory.

The most talented children of the Volga region start their education here in a very young age and then after they finish school, they can return here as students to get higher musical education. Many of the Conservatory students become famous musicians, singers and actors.

Currently, the Conservatory has three concert halls that perform more than 300 concerts every year. Prices vary from £3 to £10, but many of the concerts are free, because they are performed by students.
