Memorial museum of Viktor E. Borisov-Musatov

The home and studio of ‘the artist of coloured dreams’ were established in 1984. Victor Borisov-Musatov (1870-1905) lived here throughout almost all of his short life. He used the garden as a ‘green workshop’, where he frequently did his sketches, experimenting with colour and light; in the largest room of the house, he created all the paintings that brought him fame. Today, the Museum-Estate of Victor Borisov introduces viewers to the life and work of this inspiring painter and graphic artist.
