Kirov Avenue

Before the revolution reporters called this street the local Nevsky prospect, because it had a lot in common with the famous St. Petersburg street. Clean, paved, with luxury window glasses of rich shops in three quarters, it was always very impressive. Today it is a pedestrian zone, enjoyable for both citizens and tourists. You will find Kirov avenue to be the best street for shopping (especially if you want to buy souvenirs from Russia), and also for walking around, hanging out with friends in one of the cosy little cafes or pubs.
