Memorial museum of Nikolay G. Chernyshevsky

Memorial museum of Nikolay G. Chernyshevsky, a prominent writer and public figure, was opened in 1920. Nowadays buildings on the territory of the former town estate of the Chernyshevskies-Pypins represent a whole museum complex. Museum’s rich collection includes the unique exhibits that reflect the life and activities of N. Chernyshevsky. Memorial Museum reveals the life of the provincial priest’s family in which Nikolay Chernyshevsky grew. Nowadays the museum is the picturesque estate with buildings of the XIX century, simple but cozy house, things, preserving the memory of its inhabitants.
